Google tests buying Flipkart products directly in Gemini in India

Google is testing a "Buy" button in India in Gemini and in Search's AI Mode, shown next to selected products sold by Flipkart, TechCrunch reports, citing its sources. The button opens Flipkart's checkout without leaving the AI conversation, and for now the test covers some users and only a few products, mainly smartphones and other electronics. According to TechCrunch's source, a wider rollout is due to start in October, ahead of India's festive season, when the biggest sales of the year take place.
